Mode Field Conversion Fiber Arrays provide a low-loss coupling solution for waveguides with smaller mode field diameters (MFD). For example, the process involves splicing a 3.2μm MFD fiber to a standard 8.6μm MFD fiber to achieve efficient mode field conversion. By utilizing high-precision V-grooves and proprietary assembly techniques, fibers with different MFDs are securely aligned and fixed in the array. This ensures superior reliability throughout the mode field conversion process.
